Our Story
In 1998, eXPress Partners (electronic
Generation X Press) started
with the dream of making e-book publishing easy and accessible
for aspiring authors. And so, eXPress Collage 1.0 was released.
Developed by Sean Roth and tested by Deb Jennings, it was an
ambitious undertaking for the recently married couple.
Sean
and Deb were extremely proud of their "newborn," and
didn't hesitate to show it off to family and friends. It wasn't
long though, before Collage began to grow; at first in Sean's
mind, and then in reality as he worked evenings and weekends
to share his vision with others. Eventually the program took
on the roles of digital photo album, digital calendar and screensaver
creator as well as e-book.
Along
the way, Deb pitched in with testing Collage,
writing help files and documentation,
and the eXPress Partners website. More than that, she went along
for the ride, discussing features and enhancements with Sean,
and giving him as much time to realize his dream as possible.

Today
Ten
years and five versions later, eXPress Collage is (nearly) everything
we hoped it would be -- except commercially successful. But
it's true that the journey is more important than the destination,
and we have learned so much on this journey!
That's why we're happy to share the current version, eXPress
Collage 5.0, as freeware. We're also making all Collage templates
free to download.
If
you like Collage, let us know.
And if you have a dream, don't give up! Just know that
you may need to transform your vision as you go along, and know
that this, too, is part of a worthwhile journey.
