We arrived in Amsterdam by train from Germany. Emerging from the beautiful old train station, we took in the spectacle. Amsterdam is not exactly what we had imagined. First thing you notice is all the great, interesting architecture, and the canals, of course. Then you notice how many people there are (a lot!), and how many different nationalities are here.
